Avail advised Korona Invest on the acquisition of a majority interest in Herkkumaa Oy, a Finnish food company producing pickled cucumbers and other pickled vegetables, sauces and mayonnaise, jams and marmalades as well as Tex-Mex products and smoothies. Herkkumaa sells and manufactures products under both its own brands and customers’ brands. The company’s products are widely sold to the retail trade, the HoReCa sector as well as to other operators in the food industry. Herkkumaa was established in 1987, has an annual turnover of approximately EUR 17 million and employs more than 30 employees.
